Drama Squad – Acting for Theatre
Students are introduced to the holistic training of VOICE, BODY, MOVEMENT and SPACE, as they learn to develop character, portray emotions and understand body language.
- Through the use of physical theatre, students will learn TRUST and COOPERATION with their PEERS.
- Scripted text will DEVELOP student UNDERSTANDING of character analysis.
- Radio play and puppetry will EXTEND students’ use of VOICE.
- Writing gives students the OPPORTUNITY to EXPRESS themselves through CHARACTER.
- Further understanding of theatre TECHNOLOGIES and CONVENTIONS will ground students’ practical KNOWLEDGE.
Drama Squad – Acting for Screen
Similar to the theatre course outline, students are introduced to training of VOICE, BODY, MOVEMENT, and SPACE for the more subtle art of performing for screen. In conjunction with acting for screen, students will participate in the production of filmmaking.
- Students will develop their understanding of STORYTELLING through shots.
- Students have the opportunity to DEVISE their own characters based on life experience, and perform for camera.
- Students will learn the essential skills of TELEVISION PRESENTING.
- Students will be introduced to the POP ART of MUSIC TELEVISION.

- Are available to students from years 7 – 13
- Classes hold a MAXIMUM of 4 students
- Classes are co-educational
- Holds mid & end of year performances & screenings, for friends & family to share in the success of their children.
